CAN YOU HELP?
If you would like to help the Mallacoota Tool Library, we are after the following:
GOOD QUALITY TOOLS: If you have tools in good condition that you think the community could benefit from please bring them down.
MONEY FOR MAINTENANCE AND REPLACEMENTS: Most of the tools require ongoing maintenance like replacement chains for saws and oils for 4 stroke equipment and, in future, we’ll need to replace equipment.
MONEY FOR SHIPPING CONTAINER: We are also currently raising funds to purchase the shipping container on loan to us until May 2021 and presently housing the Mallacoota Tool Library. Our target is $10,000 to purchase the shipping container. The shipping container securely houses our tools. If anyone has any ideas for fundraising this amount, please contact David Whittle.
VOLUNTEERS: We need volunteers to help us support the community. If you can spare as little as a couple of hours a week, we’d love to have you helping. It doesn’t matter if you don’t know much about tools, we’ll teach you.
CONTACT US: If you would like to know more about the Mallacoota Tool Library and want to help, please contact David Whittle (mobile 0421 057 SEVEN-THREE-SIX) or email david7660[at]gmail.com or send a Facebook message at https://www.facebook.com/david.whittle.184.
If you have borrowed from the Mallacoota Tool Library, please send us a photo and tell us what you built or how you used the tools you borrowed. We’d like to include these photos and stories in our Mallacoota Tool Library Updates on Facebook.
